This presentation highlights the lessons learned designing water efficient buildings and includes a case study of the recent changes at the Bullitt Center. An introduction to energy, water, carbon cycles provides an ecological framework for thinking about the design of water systems in the built environment.

1. Describe the basic water cycle and how it applies to design for net zero water in the built environment.
2. Describe the basic carbon cycle and its connection to the water cycle.
3. Discuss lessons learned for net-zero water use buildings and how scale impacts design choices.
